The very top of Escondido Falls, the tallest waterfall in the Santa Monica Mountains at about 150 feet. The falls are in Malibu and are a short two-mile hike from a parking lot at Winding Way Road and Pacific Coast Highway. The hike begins with a walk up Winding Way through a wealthy neighborhood and then swings to a footpath along a creek to the base of the falls. From there, continue on the steep trail to the left to the base of the top segment of the falls.
